Hi, if you’re here, it means you liked what you found. I’m glad, so I’ll introduce myself briefly and tell you why I decided to start writing with this blog. 

I am Giuseppe, from Italy and my job has very little in common with blogs, social networks and writing in general.

I approached this idea through some reading or other blogs or listening some podcasts about what interests me most. So I decided to share some of my readings or, in general, passions with those who are interested in too. The best thing would be if this blog could become a place of exchanging ideas and experiences on common topics. 

The name speaks for itself, “a coffee break with me”, each article will require the reader the time of an italian coffee into the bar, so short, just enough to graft an idea and possibly start with a discussion about it.

Ciao, se sei arrivato a leggere fin qui vuol dire che quello che hai trovato ti è piaciuto. Sono contento. Mi presento brevemente e ti dico perchè ho deciso di iniziare a scrivere in questo blog. 

Sono Giuseppe ed il mio lavoro ha ben poco a che vedere con blog, social network e lo scrivere in generale. 

Mi sono avvicinato a questa idea attraverso alcune letture o leggendo altri blog o sentendo podcast su ciò che più mi interessa. Quindi ho deciso di condividere con chi interessa alcune mie letture o in generale passioni. Il massimo sarebbe che questo blog potesse diventare un posto dove scambiare idee ed esperienze su temi comuni. 

Il nome poi è parlante, a coffee break with me, cioè ogni articolo richiederà al lettore il tempo di un caffè al bar, quindi breve; insomma il giusto per innestare un’idea ed eventualmente partire con una chiacchierata.

La mia TOP5 dei libri letti nel 2021

  In questo articolo scrivo poche righe sui 5 libri letti nel 2021, che più di tutti mi hanno colpito.  Per ogni libro non voglio scrivere di trama o fare spoiler, ma voglio dire perchè mi sono rimasti in mente e perchè hanno colpito.  1 - Quello che non ti dicono (Mario Calabresi) Mario Calabresi sa scrivere ed in questo libro lo fa trattando un tema diverso dai suoi precedenti libri, ripercorre una vera e propria indagine giornalistica "su commissione". Il libro nel ricostruire le vicende del rapimento e assassinio di Carlo Saronio rivive gli anni del terrorismo in Italia e nello specifico a Milano.  C'è anche tanta malinconia soprattutto considerando la ragione che lo spinge ad indagare. Insomma come sempre un gran bel libro che consiglio vivamente che da un parte cattura con le vicende di cronaca di quegli anni e dall’altra con le vicende personali della famiglia Saronio 2 - Un milione per mia figlia (Pietro Di Lorenzo) Consiglio questo libro per chi vuole inizia...

Sogni di Robot - Isaac Asimov

  Tornare a leggere uno scrittore amato durante l’adolescenza e di cui si era letto quasi tutto è davvero bello. Nel mio caso lo scrittore in questione è Isaac Asimov. In passato ho letto tanti suoi romanzi, i vari cicli della Fondazione, il ciclo dei Robot e qualche racconto, e pensavo che non sarei più tornato a leggere nulla di suo, finché qualche settimana fa non sono incappato in un articolo che parlava di un racconto incluso in questa raccolta, “ L’ultima domanda ”, e questo mi ha spinto a leggere tutta la raccolta che lo includeva. Devo ammettere che il racconto “ L’ultima domanda ” è effettivamente molto originale e con una conclusione che ti resta incollata ai pensieri per un po’ dopo averlo finito. È un racconto, tra l’altro, molto breve ma davvero geniale e che cerca di spiegare come tutto il nostro universo sia iniziato e di dare una visione ciclica della vita di Tutto. In questo racconto poi appare l’enorme Intelligenza Artificiale, Multivac, presente in molti racconti...
