Arcane!!

I would never have thought it, but I feel the need to spend few words about a new Netflix tv show.  And I would never have said it because this show is animated and serves as a prequel to a videogame that, before seeing it, I had never even heard of.  The show is Arcane, available on Netflix since November 21, placed in a universe of a videogame - League of Legends (LOL).   The show made a lot of buzz and received a lot of positive comments. Thanks to all this, a second season has already been announced and will be released after 2022. But what is Arcane about?  Well, I'll summarize what struck me most about the story. But I don't want to give you a complete summary, but only few short thoughts in the style of this blog. Obviously, no spoilers. Basically, it's the story of two sisters who come from the slums of a city that has really two different cities in one, the rich and "shining" city Piltover and the poor, degraded and forgotten lower part, Zaun.

SHOW YOUR WORK or why I'm here.

My presence here owes a lot to this book by Austin Kleon, Show your work. This text, especially for a certain target has become a real Bible, a vademecum for anyone who wants to show their work through social networks, YouTube, blogs or podcasts.  For example, I'm sure you have seen many videos of famous Youtubers where more then 7/8 out of 10 always have in the background, but in plain sight, a copy of this book.  I'll include the link to a couple of videos  at least   where Ali Abdaal, a great youtuber, talks about it:  https://youtu.be/hv1gOEY3cs4 https://youtu.be/vyVpRiqOvt4 But like him, many others have talked about it.  And so am I; yes, because this book is very easy to read and offers interesting insights in a concise manner giving that final push needed to bring out all the creativity and desire to take action.  The book gives 10 useful lessons for "showing your work", but I'm only taking home 4+1 of them, and here they are: 1.   Hi, if you’re here, it means you liked what you found. I’m glad, so I’ll introduce myself briefly and tell you why I decided to start writing with this blog.  I am Giuseppe, from Italy and my job has very little in common with blogs, social networks and writing in general. I approached this idea through some reading or other blogs or listening some podcasts about what interests me most. So I decided to share some of my readings or, in general, passions with those who are interested in too. The best thing would be if this blog could become a place of exchanging ideas and experiences on common topics.  The name speaks for itself, “a coffee break with me”, each article will require the reader the time of an italian coffee into the bar, so short, just enough to graft an idea and possibly start with a discussion about it.  You can also find me on Twitter and Instagram, if you want to follow me there too, to stay in touch.
